When you read the newspaper, you read what the reporter or editor wanted you to read. Your own views have practically no outlet for expression. Things are scarcely different with most news sites on the Net. We, at North East Tribune, consider it our mission to realise the potential of the Internet to information-empower the individual. And that individual is you.

Many interesting things happen to you; you observe many interesting things happen to others. North East Tribune offers you an opportunity to share them with the rest of the world. Send us your report on any subject that interests you, or a photograph and we will try to carry it on the site. Note, we are not asking for feedback or letters to the editor. We want you to turn reporter, tell the world about something that no reporter has bothered about but you think deserves notice.

Our editorial board will also rate the stories and at the end of each month, the best five stories will get a surprise gift.
