Probe ordered into suicide attempt of Meghalaya cop Shillong, AUG 25 : The Meghalaya Government today ordered an inquiry into the suicide attempt of a state police constable at the official residence of Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal in New Delhi. Constable Donkupar Marbaniang (30) of the 4th Meghalaya Police battalion attempted to kill himself by shooting himself with his service rifle on August 23. Sources alleged the constable took the extreme step as he was denied leave by the superiors. ''We have ordered for an inquiry into the entire incident and we hope the reason for taking this drastic step will figure in the report,'' a Meghalaya police official told UNI here. Incidentally, this is the second incident that security man posted in Mr Bansal's residence took such drastic step. On October 17, 2010, Constble Terison Sangma shot himself dead with his rifle. .
