Nagaland Cong blames DAN Government for bad road conditions Kohima, Aug 25 : The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today lashed out at the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland Government over deplorable road conditions in the state- both national and state highways- particularly in district headquarters. In a statement, the NPCC media cell stated that the state's deplorable road conditions reflected the apathy of the DAN government on the issue and claimed that there was not even a stretch road where roads were free from potholes and water-logging, especially in Kohima and Dimapur. NPCC said it was easy to blame it on monsoon but said if the quality of workmanship was up to the standard and proper drains were maintained, the affect due to heavy monsoon could have been minimised to a great extent. It said roads had become non-pliable for small cars with low clearance but DAN ministers and parliamentary secretaries were indifferent to the plight of the common man. NPCC maintained that had funds been judiciously utilized, then roads would not be in such a pathetic condition. .
