Seven killed, three injured in mishap 

Guwahati, March 21: Seven persons were killed and three others critically injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling hit a tree in Assam''s Kamrup(Rural) district today, police said. 

Sources said the driver of the vehicle carrying 10 passengers lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree at Batorhat under Bijoynagar police station and due to the impact seven of them died on the spot and three others were ritically injured. 

The injured, identified as Nazimuddin, Samir Ali and Tariq Hussain, have been admitted to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital, where doctors stated their condition to be critical. 

The dead have been identified as Noor ul Islam, Abul Kalam, Moulana Rabiul Hussain, Jan Mohammad, Abdul Barik, Safiul Rahman and Ainal Haque.
