Papers filed for October 13 Arunachal Assembly polls 

Itanagar, Sep 23 : With notification issued on September 18 for October 13 Assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, as many as 36 candidates from various political parties have filed their papers so far. 

Election office sources here today said 32 candidates filed their nominations on the fifth day yesterday before their respective returning officers. 

Prominent among those who have filed their nominations include Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu from Mukto Assembly Constituency, Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president and PWD and UD Minister Nabam Tuki (Sagalee), Speaker Setong Sena (Nampong), Deputy Speaker Takar Marde (Dumporijo), Home Minister Jarbom Gamlin (Liromoba), Industries Minister Tanga Byaling (Nacho), IPR Minister Lombo Tayeng (Mebo) and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Atum Welly (Pakke-Kessang). 

Others Congress candidates who filed papers include Nabam Rebia (Doimukh), Tsering Gyurme (Dirang), RT Khunjuju (Bomdila), Roding Pertin (Dambuk), Tsewang Dhondup (Tawang), Gadam Ete (Along West), Pasang Dorjee Sona (Mechuka), Kamlung Mosang (Miao) and Wangki Lowang (Namsang). 

Among the BJP candidates who filed their nominations so far include Ambika Enling (Namsai) and Bai Gadi (Liromoba). NCP nominees Japu Deru (Bomdila), Techi Kasso (Itanagar), Tad Tana (Sagalee), Gumke Riba (Likabali), Tsering Naksang (Mechuka), Alo Libang (Tuting-Yingkiong) and Hapa Taidong (Changlang North) also filed their papers. 

The candidates who have filed their papers under Trinamool Congress include Tani Loffa (Seppa West), Tapuk Taku (Seppa East), TC Teli (Doimukh), Daklo Nidak (Daporijo), Yai Mara (Likabali), Duter Padu (Along West) and Larbin Nasi (Lekang).

Moreover, three Independents, including Rinchin Droma (Bomdila), Subu Kechi (Itanagar) and Yab Gadi (Liromoba), were among others who filed their nominations so far.

The last date of filing nominations is September 25. While scrutiny of nominations will be done on September 26, the last date of withdrawal of candidature is September 29. Counting of votes will be on October 22.
