Trinamool Congress announces first list of candidates for AP polls Itanagar, Sep 19 : The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress, which has jumped into the electoral battle for the first time in Arunachal Pradesh, has announced its first list of 26 candidates for the October 13 assembly elections. Trinamool state unit president Kito Sora released the first list last night, which consists of two former ministers and nine sitting MLAs, who had been denied Congress tickets this election. The party would declare its second list of candidates soon, Mr Sora, who is also a sitting MLA, said. The nominees announced yesterday include Tagung Neri (Bameng), Karya Bagang (Chayang Tajo), Tapuk Taku (Seppa East), Tani Loffa (Seppa West), TC Teli (Doimukh), Nani Ribia (Ziro-Hapoli), Nyato Rigia (Taliha), Daklo Nidak (Daporijo), Yai Mara (Likabali), Dakter Basar (Basar), Duter Padu (Aalo West), Yomto Jini (Aalo East), Tako Puning (Mechuka), Tsepa Wangchuk Khumpa (Tuting-Yingkiong), Tadom Mibang (Pangin), Olom Panyang (Mariyang-Geku), Jomin Tayeng (Dambuk), Laeta Umbrey (Roing), Chinakong Namchoom (Chowkham), Chow Pingthika Namchoom (Namsai), Mayong Maio (Bordumsa-Diyun), Wangnia Pongte (Changlang North), Khamthok Lowang (Khonsa East), Thajam Aboh (Khonsa West), Gabriel D Wangsu (Kanubari) and Kahfa Bengia (Koloriang). While TC Teli and Kahfa Bengia were former Congress ministers, Tani Loffa, Nani Ribia, Nyato Rigia, Daklo Nidak, Laeta Umbrey, Chow Pingthika Namchoom, Wangnia Pongte, Khamthok Lowang and Thajam Aboh were sitting MLAs. The list also includes the name of a veteran journalist Gabriel D Wangsu, editor of Dawn Lit Post, English daily published from here.
