BJP announces second list of candidates for Arunachal assembly poll 

Itanagar, Sep 05 : The BJP in Arunachal Pradesh has announced names of four more candidates in its second list of nominees for October 13 Assembly polls in the state. 

According to party sources here today, the central election committee of the saffron party headed by its president Rajnath Singh cleared the second list of nominees yesterday which include Sambhu Sioungju (Bomdila-Nafra), Bai Gadi (Liromoba), Dana Pertin (Mariyang- Geku) and state unit Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Chow Ambika Enling contesting from Namsai constituency. 

With the party announcing its first list of 13 candidates on August 16, the BJP is the only party to announce the names of 17 candidates so far even after announcement of the poll date by the Election Commission. 

The names of the candidates announced in the first list include Mr Tamiyo Taga from Rumgong constituency.  

Mr Taga is a former speaker and also served as the education minister. While two former ministers including party state unit president Dr Tangar Tapak, the candidate from Pasighat West and Mr Lechi Legi from Itanagar also figured in the list. 

The other candidates include Mr Tana Tagam Tara (Sagalee), Mr Ajit Nacho (Nacho), Mr Tapen Siga (Daporijo, Mr Lumpak Paksok (Dumporijo), Mr Katan Kamboh (Tuting-Yingkiong), Mr Tayam Siram (Panging-Boleng), Mr Oyam Dai (Pasighat East), Mr Wangman Lowangcha (Khonsa East) and Mr Kapnai Wangcha from Pongchau-Wakka constituency, sources added. 

Mr Katan Kamboh would lock horns with Congress leader and former Chief Minister Gegong Apang.
