NSCN(K)-CFMG review cease-fire rules Kohima, Aug 25 : The Cease Fire Monitoring Group (CFMG) and the Cease Fire Supervisory Board (CFSB) of the NSCN (K) have jointly reviewed the proper implementation of the Cease Fire Ground Rules, agreed upon by the Government of India and the NSCN (K). Official sources here today said that the meeting, which was held at Dimapur yesterday, was chaired by the CFMG Lt Gen (Retd) Mandhata Singh who discussed the implementation of the Cease Fire Ground Rules (CFGR), which was not fully implemented in the state. The meeting also discussed the issue of extortion and forced collection of money by the underground groups, especially in Dimapur, which featured as the main agenda of the deliberation. Gen Singh also admitted that the level of violence had toned down and the factional clash have been reduced, but expressed concern over the rampant extortions and forced collections taking place in the state. On the establishment of camps, the CFMG Chairman said the concerned factions have been asked to occupy the designated camps located at Mon and Tuensang. The Convenor of CFSB C Singson Singsong informed that the NSCN (K) is principally ready to implement the CFGR in letter and spirit. Besides the CFMG Chairman, the meeting was attended by Nagaland Commissioner H K Khulu, Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Maj Gen J P Nehra, DIG, CRPF P M Ramalingam and a team of NSCN (K) led by Convenor of CFSB C Singson. Later, talking to newsmen, Singson said that the meeting was quite a satisfactory one and informed that he had assured that the outfit is trying its best to control such drawbacks with serious concern. He sought to stress that there are many groups extorting randomly in Dimapur and all blames are solely on the NSCN (K). Assuring the people, he said, ''We will continue to do our best to bring changes for a better Nagaland.''
